In an effort to extend the impact of the Caterpillar brand beyond the equipment the OEM builds and to bring greater value to equipment owner / operators, a global research initiative was undertaken to seek opportunities to do just that. A compelling opportunity to extend vehicle support beyond the factory and into the field was revealed, and a dynamic suite of tools allowing for everything from in-the-field troubleshooting to remote equipment management and even new business leads for owners was developed and tested.
